Getting kids to do jobs around the house is often a challenge unless there is some fun in it. Fortunately, there are some interesting and entertaining ways to make cleanup time, an event to look forward to.

Grab a small bucket and add some paper towels, a sponge, a cloth, a small dustpan and broom and some vinegar and water in a spray bottle and suddenly kids have their own cleaning caddy. Allow them to personalise their cleaning caddy with their name and some drawings. Then, when it’s time to cleanup, let them use their own cleaning caddy and watch as they take responsibility for the job ahead.

When making the bed, pretend the pillows, cushions or soft toys are balls and let the kids toss them to you as you place them on the bed. “Have the children organise them by size or colour before they pass them,” says Kylie. “Or, better still, let them have ownership over how they arrange them on the bed,” she adds.

Encourage kids to organise their toys and belongings based on size, colour or types of toys. This supports their learning as well as keeping things tidy. Extend this to the kitchen and let them organise their cutlery, cups, plates, and bowls when they put them away after a meal. “Teaching kids that everything has a place and should be put away after use, will become a life-long habit,” says Kylie.

Similar to cleaning up after playtime at their play centre, cleaning up after a play session at home can be a fun activity. For added fun, put on some music for 5 to 10 minutes and have a race to see who is quickest at tidying up in the given time.

Create a job list that provides each member of the house, adults and kids, with their list of jobs. Jobs completed can result in a gold star, or sticker. Whoever has the most gold stars or stickers at the end of the week, can receive a special treat or a prize, and can also be given the title ‘job master of the week’.

Try using a variety of balls (suitable for the area in which they are playing), soft, large, small, light, and heavy and watch their dexterity improve as they become more confident with throwing, tossing and catching.

Snack-making: Making meals can become even more exciting, when kids help in the kitchen when preparing a snack for the family. Provide a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables and encourage them to taste and prepare colourful and healthy meal options. “For even more fun and individuality, let them prepare their plates in their own way; you might be surprised at what they come up with and what they eat,” says Kylie.

“Promoting a well-focused mindset in children should start early, particular during their first five years of psychological and mental growth,”says Kylie. ” Building a child’s mental focus through key emotional control will immediately improve their concentration on tasks that can positively affect their future in both schooling, and the working world, if regularly practiced,” Kylie adds.

Mind-body integration: Mind-body exercises strengthen the neural connections between the brain and body. Playing quiet music or undertaking a guided imagery session can support relaxation and improve self-control. Teaching them to breathe deeply, especially when they are upset or hurt, can promote positive emotions.

Memory and concentration games: These help to improve a child’s memory retrieval and stimulate other parts of the brain. Regularly memorising sequences of visual and auditory stimuli exercises the brain circuits and strengthens neural connections and ultimately improving memory function.

Story-based games: A good story book and a good imagination are all that’s needed to support a child’s language and creative development. Parents can read a short story and give the child a quiz on the story. Alternatively, read a paragraph or two from a story and then ask the child to come up with what they think might happen next. Or for an extra twist, ask the child to come up with their own ending. These games assist in building a working memory and improving concentration. They can also help in the development of logic and a good sense of humour.

Puzzles: Puzzles of all types are excellent for a child’s development. “Puzzles allow for memory recollection as well as visual and mental improvement in understanding how to structurally compile a puzzle’s image,” says Kylie.

Mazes: Finding your way around a maze is a perfect exercise to improve concentration, planning, sequencing, processing speed and visual-motor integration.

“Utilising these focus-building tools will assist children undertake day-to-day activities, and will help them master their ability to concentrate effectively without any distractions,” says Kylie.

Children who do not get enough sleep often have trouble paying attention, can become cranky, may fall asleep during the day, can have behavioural issues and can struggle to focus. If this sounds familiar, it could be that their sleeping hours might need a firm adjustment.

Kylie-Jane Shannon, owner of Jungle Kids Indoor Play Centres, informs parents on sufficient sleeping hours for children based on their age, and why this rest should not be taken lightly. “It’s time to take sleep seriously for our children and to make sure they get the best out of every experience when they’re awake,” says Kylie.

As we are sleeping, our brains move between two types of sleep. These are known as REM (rapid eye movement) sleep and non-REM sleep. Together, the stages of REM sleep and non-REM sleep develop a sleep cycle.

Babies spend more time in REM sleep, with their sleep cycles much shorter than adults. Time spent in REM sleep decreases and sleep cycles get longer as children get older. By the time they attend school, one complete sleep cycle lasts about 90 minutes, similar to adult sleep cycles.

“The first two non-REM stages are known as light sleep stages. One can wake up easily, and the heart beats and breathing rate slow down. Stage three non-REM is a deep sleep, which is usually harder to wake up from, and often a person is confused when woken. During this stage, the body releases well needed hormones for growth and development,” says Kylie.

“In the last stage of the REM sleep cycle, breathing becomes faster, eyes move faster underneath the eyelids, and heartbeats become faster.  The limbs do not move during this phase. REM sleep is vital for learning and memory,” Kylie adds.

Adequate rest promotes a more energetic and healthier child and supports the child’s physical, mental and emotional development. The amount of sleep needed for children varies, and experts recommend the following hours of sleep for children: Infants between 0-3 months need 14-17 hours. Infants between 4-12 months need 12-16 hours. Toddlers between 1-2 years need 11-14 hours, and pre-schoolers between 3-5 years need 10-13 hours.

“Creating a regular bed time routine can encourage and develop better sleeping habits,” says Kylie. “Turning off digital devices at least an hour before bedtime is important, and the removal of these devices from the room should also occur. Providing a 30 minute heads up, followed by a 10 minute heads up when getting them to bed, particularly for pre-schoolers, is important. Over a short period, they will soon get used to the routine,” she adds.

“Tyres are a unique and necessary invention for any form of transportation. Tyres are an essential component that help you get from place to place. Flat tyres disrupt plans, while inferior tyres or damaged wheels impact your vehicle’s control and performance. While the average person may not think about their car’s tyres unless there’s an issue, or something goes wrong, they can be a fascinating topic of discussion.

Chris Lett, Australian Tyre expert, and owner of Branigans Tyres, is happy to talk tyres and blows the minds of readers with some intriguing tyre statistics and facts.

Air-filled or pneumatic tyres are used on many types of vehicles, including cars, bicycles, motorcycles, buses, trucks, heavy equipment and aircraft. Pneumatic tyres provide a flexible cushion that absorbs shock as the tyre rolls over rough surfaces. John Boyd Dunlop, an Irish inventor, invented the pneumatic tyre in 1888 primarily for his child’s tricycle. The invention caught on quickly and soon bicycles all over the world were being fitted with Dunlop’s pneumatic tyres.  However, Dunlop was unaware that the pneumatic tyre had in fact been patented 43 years earlier, in 1846, by Robert William Thomson, a Scottish inventor.

Winter tyres were invented in the mid 1930’s in Nokia, Finland to combat the harsh weather prevalent in Nordic countries. Winter tyres have a different tread pattern that features wider and deeper grooves than summer tyres. They also contain a larger amount of natural rubber and silica in the compound that doesn’t harden as much as the synthetic rubber found in summer tyres when the temperatures drop.

White tyres – In the early days, tyre manufacturers used zinc oxide as an addition to the tyre rubber for strength, that produced the side effect of turning tyres white. After 1900, carbon black was used to increase the longevity and durability of the tyre. This addition also changed the tyre colour to black.

Modern tyres are made up of a number of materials including, steel, rubber, kevlar and nylon. Tyres also consist of metals like titanium and cobalt to help the compound bond to the steel belts. Silica and saline are also used to help enhance performance. Citrus oil and other “green” materials are also used.

The World’s Largest Tyre was built as a Uniroyal promotional icon. It’s a ‘car tyre’ that stands 24.4 metres tall and weighs 12 tons. It was originally built as a giant Ferris wheel at the 1964-65 New York World Fair. After the fair, it was transported to Detroit Motor Town.

“Tyres are a unique invention and there are many interesting facts about them but perhaps the most surprising fact about tyres is that LEGO is the world’s largest tyre manufacturer,” says Lett.

In the tyre industry, carbon black is used to strengthen and colour rubber. Made from a fine carbon powder produced from the incomplete combustion of heavy petroleum products, carbon black is used to reinforce tyres, making them more resistant against ultraviolet rays and prolonging their life span.

Chris Lett, Australian Tyre Recycler, and owner of Branigans Tyres, explains the vital role carbon black has played in the production of tyres.

Historically, the use of carbon black, as black pigment for paints and inks dates back to early civilisation. With the invention of book printing, in the fifteenth century, the demand for strong black pigment increased. Lamp black, a permanent and opaque pigment, was traditionally used for these colouring purposes.

In the first manufacturing processes of lamp black, wood was burnt under low air supply, and the smoke passed into a cone-like soot chamber where the carbon black settled on the walls of metal, wool, or linen. This was known as the channel black process. The charred wood was then sold as charcoal.

Since the 1950s, the channel black process has been replaced in the main by the furnace black process. Nearly all carbon black used in today’s tyres is produced by the furnace black process. Modern tyres are composed of several different rubber compounds, each containing special elastomers – elastic materials that retain their shape, after distortion – and special carbon black grades are needed for peak performance.

“Apart from the stabilising of chemical compounds within rubber, carbon black provides other benefits,” says Lett. “For example, carbon black improves the longevity of a tyre. Tyres can heat, particularly around the tread and belt areas. Should the heat become trapped, and not dispersed, the tyres can overheat and cause wear-and-tear. Luckily, carbon black is proven to help control the temperature of the tyres which can prolong the life of the tyre,” adds Lett.

Carbon black also prevents tyre damage from harsh Ultraviolet (UV) rays. Similar to leaving rubber bands or an eraser out in the harsh sun, rubber tires made without carbon black, can be prone to hardening, and will deteriorate due to the harsh UV rays from the sun, ultimately, decreasing the performance of a tyre. Simply put, carbon black deters the hardening of the tyres.

“Carbon black plays a huge role when it comes to tyre strength, performance, and durability,” says Lett. “Tyres are the most critical part of a vehicle, so, keep in mind that the sturdier and stronger the tyre, the smoother and safer the drive,” says Lett.

Honouring your word: When you make a commitment, stand by it. In these times, particularly with the prevalence of social media platforms, words have a way of travelling quicker than actions. A single broken promise to an individual can lead to a disastrous backlash, tarnishing one’s reputation and rendering them as liars and untrustworthy. Today, more than ever, people have the opportunity to revisit unfulfilled claims, and can use them against individuals for as long as they want to. Thus, staying true to what you do and say must reflect in your actions.

Respond often: When you’re a dependable individual, you respond to requests. While this may seem like common sense, it’s not performed by many. Taking the time to respond to others, regardless of the subject, shows that you do care about the circumstances of events, and that you are available to lend a helping hand when you can.

Organise yourself: It’s easier to be a dependable person when you live an organised and system-driven life. Set up helpful, habitual and thorough systems that work for you and manage to maintain them for the future. Being organised and system driven means you have consciously thought about the process. Take the time and be aware of what you need to do. Dont just react without thought.

Be consistent: Consistency in a dependability context, proves to many, that you have your own way of coping through the toughest of situations through self-controlled and respectable actions. “Being balanced, composed and trained to consistently react diplomatically, earns the trust of others,” says Steven. “As organising your life through systems of character-building habits shows great discipline, being consistent in all that you do, lends itself to displaying your attitude as admirable, no-nonsense, and serious,” adds Steven.

Utilising these key dependability aspects will build your ability to be trustworthy, and on a personal level, be that shoulder to cry on in emotional situations. “The power of truth should not be underestimated, so it’s time to hone it,” says Steven.

Facing challenges is never easy. These days, there are some real challenges we encounter. Bill and Wilma Watson faced lots of challenges during their many years working as missionaries in Ethiopia. What can we learn about how to overcome life circumstances.

Overcoming challenges

Bill and Wilma lived and worked in a remote area of southwest Ethiopia, around 250 miles to the capital, Addis Ababa.

Instead of shopping locally, the Watson family were forced to shop yearly, because of the travel involved. In Addis Ababa they purchased enough plain flour and sugar to fill 44-gallon drums. Margarine, cheese and milk powder came in very large tins. Yearly supply of essentials,plus vegetable seeds for the garden were purchased.

Weekly, they sent a local to buy from the market,40-minute walk away. He purchased for Wilma potatoes, meat and bananas. The meat was usually beef, with maggots. Chickens and eggs were sold at the door (the eggs were place in water, if they rose to the top, they were discarded).

In their mud brick home was a wooden stove and kerosene refrigerator.  They learnt to live simply, compared to life in Australia. As Wilma was busy attending to 80 patients a day in the clinic, she had two Ethiopian helpers who cared for the two children and home.

The Watsons found facing the challenges of living in a remote area,(five days from the nearest road) was made easier by adapting to the Ethiopians easy-going lifestyle.

Overcoming being trapped

While in Ethiopia, Bill ventured into an unreached area, unaware of a powerful demonic ceremony taking place. The new grinding mill was being dedicated to the demonic spirits.

When Bill attempted to cross the river the gears in the land cruiser refused to turn. He was stranded! As the demons had been activated by the witch doctors that day, the locals were strongly advised not to enter the river, hence Bill was left without assistance.

Next morning, having sheltered overnight from the rain in a mosque, Bill discovered that the river had risen and covered the land cruiser! He was now over 20 miles from Wilma and there was no way he could contact her to obtain help.

The following day the waters subsided, and 40 local men pulled the vehicle onto dry ground. Over the next two days, Bill meticulously separated water from the fuel, distributor, carburetor, cylinders and sump. He had no assistance and limited tools!

It was a miracle that some spark was left in the battery, which enabled him to make it back home.  Bill was exhausted, yet thankful that he had persisted. With God’s help he overcame what seemed impossible!

Overcoming grief

Wilma and Bill were travelling on a two-day journey to a hospital in Addis Ababa.Wilma was to be treated for severe bleeding, after a miscarriage.

They stayed with a Canadian couple on their way. The couple persuaded Bill and Wilma to leave their two-year-old daughter with them to make it easier for Bill while Wilma was in hospital. Since they felt she would be in good hands they chose to leave their outgoing little girl.

When Bill and Wilma returned for their daughter, they quickly discovered that she was deeply traumatised.  The couple were excited to share with them their accomplishment while they were away. They had taken their two-year-old daughter’s dummy and bottle from her and tried to toilet train her during the three days.

Bill and Wilma had to now handle their grief of not only the miscarriage, but now the fact that they lost their outgoing little girl. She was now deeply traumatised and continually fearful of separation. It was a very difficult time. They learnt, not to react when their precious daughter displayed her insecurity. Over time, God brought healing to them all.

Overcoming fear

Shortly after Bill and Wilma arrived in Ethiopia, Wilma was on a mule travelling back to their compound alone.  It became very dark, and the hyenas were circling around her.

Wilma felt afraid and completely lost! She cried out to God for help! The mule stopped and refused to go! So, she loosened the reins!

The mule turned around and took her back to the right path. Wilma believes it was an angel that stopped the mule and led her home.

Overcoming trauma

Leaders from a nearby province,arrived at Bill and Wilma’s place wet and cold.  Bill built a fire on the dirt floor of the school to help dry them. He asked his worker to bring some kerosene as the wood was wet. Unbeknown to Bill, the worker had added gasoline to the can instead of kerosene. When Bill threw it on the fire, it exploded! One of the men suffered burns to a large percentage of his body.  Wilma was the only medical help! The burnt man had stopped breathing and had no pulse. They prayed for the man. He gasped for air and began to breathe again! God not only helped him breathe again but also healed his skin.

How can we improve our attitudes towards our challenges and learn how to overcome them. Bill and Wilma overcame their difficulties by having an easy-going perspective on life and relying on the peace and wisdom of God to help them overcome situations.

“Imagine a world where giving was more predominant than receiving”, says Australian author Tony Steven. A principle that has been tabled for discussion for a long time. Cultivating a high degree of selfless behaviour in the hope of assisting one another. There’s a term that best describes it, and it’s time we all understand it better.

Tony Steven, trusted Australian author, realist and educator, discusses ‘Altruism’, what it is, and how we can apply it to assist others in need. 2023 has begun, so let’s start it off on a constructive and helpful note.

“Altruism, at its very core, is an unselfish and genuine concern for others, and is the principle of helping others without any reward in return,” says Steven. ” Be it giving money to those in need, letting somebody enter a room before one’s self, or even letting somebody take that last bag of potatoes at a grocery store, altruism varies in its acts. However, the underlying concept is to ensure that we take care of one another,” Steven adds.

Examples of striking, real-life altruism have been explored by the media in-depth. Stories of people sharing resources with others during scarcity; running onto busy roads to rescue a stranger before a vehicle hits them; and even donating large amounts of money to charities with zero expectation of recognition or return. These are just the tip of the iceberg in terms of altruistic stories and the lengths people can go.

Many ask what motivates people to undertake altruistic deeds, especially if, in some cases, it can cause risks to the giver. “Altruism, in fact, is a branch of what is known as Prosocial Behaviour. Prosocial behaviour refers to any form of action that can benefit others, regardless of motives, recognition and benefits for the giver,” says Steven.

Because altruistic acts are prosocial, that does not necessarily mean that all prosocial behaviours are altruistic. Many help others purely out of guilt or a sense of duty or even for the benefit or reward that may ensue. Psychologists have studied tirelessly as to how and why altruism exists. Their results have suggested that altruism may be passed down genetically, and that some people may just be naturally inclined to help others. “Simply put, it may just be an evolutionary response, as well as a brain-centred reward whereby one who displays altruistic behaviour, receives positive stimulation from the pleasure centres of the brain,” says Steven.

The norms of society can be described as an additional reason as to why many are altruistic. Specifically, the concept of reciprocity, where the social expectation to help others, if they’ve help us before, exists. “This is indeed present in society and its encompassing social circles, where reciprocity lends itself to the bigger picture of being altruistic, and in turn, developing a culture of giving,” says Steven.

Experts in psychology note four different types of altruism: Genetic Altruism, Reciprocal Altruism, Group-selected Altruism and Pure Altruism.

Genetic altruism is an altruistic type that involves engaging in altruistic acts benefiting relatives or close family members. As an example, parents, as well as other family members often engage in acts of sacrifice in order to provide for the needs of their family members.

Reciprocal altruism is based on a mutually-based, give-and-take relationship, involving helping another person at that moment, as they may one day be able to return the favour.

Group-selected altruism involves engaging in altruistic acts for people based upon their group affiliation. People might direct their efforts toward assisting people who are part of their social group or supporting social causes that benefit a specific group.

Pure altruism involves helping someone else, regardless of risk, without any reward in return. It is motivated by internalised values and morals, done purely out of selflessness.

In terms of practising altruism in general, there are amazing ways to incorporate it into our lives. Practice random acts of kindness regularly. Look around at one’s circle, and see where one can prepare meals, volunteer, or donate to causes close to the heart. “Look at inspirational individuals performing acts of altruism, gain some inspiration and begin the journey of making others feel better,” says Steven.

“Altruism should be a habit, so keep a kind mindset and perform altruistic acts unconditionally, and wholeheartedly,” says Steven. Remember though, help out where you can, without straining your own financial situations or resources. You should take care of your own priorities first, thus the saying ‘charity begins at home’,” he adds.

For many people, it can be tough to control their emotions at times. Although this can be completely normal, it is crucial to control ones emotions as the way they are displayed can negatively or positively affect many aspects of daily life.

Tony Steven, a realist and an educator with more than thirty years of experience in business as well as non-profit organisations, explains why it is so crucial to have the ability to control one’s emotions and give tips on how to do this.

“When we can control our emotions, it allows us to make better decisions no matter how big or small, and by understanding our emotions better we can respond to situations in a more constructive manner,” says Steven.

Emotions allow people to communicate, connect and understand one another. If someone is in control of their emotions, they will be able to do this more effectively. Our emotions have control over behaviour and moods. It is important to connect with emotions and understand them as this will help to control them.

“Research states that if we suppress our emotions it can have negative consequences. This is because if emotions are stifled we are more likely to be aggressive and become annoyed more easily. The more we let our feelings and emotions buildup inside the more likely we are to explode or react to situations in the incorrect way. We need to control our emotions so that they don’t control us,” explains Steven.

When emotions are running high or are uncontrollable, there are ways to return to a calm and logical state in order to make the correct decisions and have the correct reactions.

Firstly, identify the emotion. Spend some time reflecting on your thoughts, and then be still and attentive to your body. Your heart might be beating quickly, and your hands may start to perspire. Emotions can have a physical effect on the human body. This can give you some ideas about how you are feeling.  Both excitement and stress can trigger these feelings. Try to comprehend these feelings and any potential causes behind them. Are you anxious because of a significant presentation you have looming?  Are you anticipating a fresh opportunity tomorrow at work? Have you argued with a loved one? Are you having trouble relating to someone? Once you have worked out what the trigger is, it will be much simpler to manage your emotions and recognise how they are affecting your behaviour.

It is important to regulate your reactions to emotions, not suppress them. Suppressing emotions can lead to negative outcomes. Besides having outbursts or bad reactions, the suppression of emotions can lead to anxiety, depression, trouble sleeping, tense muscles and pain and in some cases substance abuse. When trying to regulate and deal with emotions, ensure that they are not being swept under the carpet and that they are being correctly dealt with and understood.

Determine the emotions that are being felt. “If you are suddenly feeling many different emotions, it is important to check in by asking yourself a few questions. What emotions are you feeling, what caused these feelings, what can you do with those feelings and always think if there are better ways to deal with those feelings,” says Steven.

Know when to express emotions. For example, if there has been a misunderstanding at work, an emotional response could be anger. However, there are certain situations that require more control or restraint. Being aware of surroundings and environments can help to decide when it is okay to let one’s feeling out or when it’s time to hold back for a moment.

It is important to keep stress under control. If someone is under a lot of stress, it becomes difficult to manage emotions. Finding ways to manage stress or keep it under control can help control emotions. Some ways to try and cope with stress include, getting enough sleep, making time to be with loved ones, spending time outdoors, and making sure there is time for relaxation and hobbies.

The end-of-year frenzy has arrived, accompanied by busier and fuller roads as the holiday season looms. With that in mind, driving cautiously and proactively should be top of mind for road users. This is where defensive driving comes to the fore.

“With more vehicles on the road this summer, drivers need to be even more alert,” says Chris Lett, Australian tyre dealer, and owner of Branigans Tyres. Lett discusses how important it is to be a defensive driver and keep yourself and others safe on the road.

Defensive driving is defined as the practice of maintaining full awareness of the road and weather, other vehicles and road-users, as well as taking steps to prevent potentially hazardous or dangerous situations and to prevent being involved in a car crash.

“Defensive driving starts with being prepared,” says Lett. “There are many things drivers can do to ensure they are well-prepared. This includes, understanding how their vehicle performs; their own driving abilities; road and weather conditions; and their knowledge of the road rules,” adds Lett.

Vehicle performance: A defensive driver is aware of their vehicle’s limitations and capabilities. A defensive driver ensures that their vehicle is well-maintained and road worthy. This includes checking that the brakes, engine and tyres are in optimal condition and that the vehicle is not overloaded and can effectively respond to a potential road threat.

Driver’s abilities: Drivers should drive according to their abilities. Stay focused and alert and ensure you are not tired.  Driving is primarily a thinking task, and you have a lot of things to think about when you’re behind the wheel. Don’t multi-task and get distracted. Being alert allows you to react quickly to potential problems — like when the driver in the car ahead slams on the brakes at the last minute.  Being tired or driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol affects reaction times and judgement, so rest up before a long trip and take regular breaks during your journey.

Road and weather conditions: Be aware of the road and weather conditions and drive to those conditions. Understand how to drive on different surfaces, for example, unsealed roads, sandy or dusty roads. Know how to drive in the wind, rain, snow or in the glaring sun or when there is poor visibility. Use your lights appropriately and as soon as dusk descends make sure your headlights are on. Listen to or read the weather report before you set out on your journey and check for road hazards, closures or heavy traffic; you may have to re-plan your route.  Do not take chances in risky situations on the roads, it can cost you your safety, and ultimately your life.

Knowledge of the road rules: Defensive driving is predominantly based on understanding the rules of the road. Be aware of road markings, rights of way, road signs and load restrictions. Ensure you understand how to proceed at intersections, roundabouts and T junctions or where there are road works. Keep to the speed limits and pay attention to what other drivers are doing.

“Defensive driving is essentially the art of safe driving, and should be practiced everyday,” says Lett. “So enjoy the holiday season, keep safe and drive into the new year with heightened on-road awareness,” he adds.

When a person thinks of a ball pit they generally think of a fun time for kids to jump around and play with their friends. Jungle Kids is an indoor play centre that offers parents and children a variety of activities to enjoy. Parent supervision is a must and children need to wear socks always to enjoy the amenities, but they are the only rules, other than to enjoy and have fun! The enclosed toddlers’ area provides a safe and fun area for toddlers to play in, make friends and develop skills. The ball pit area is always a favourite where children can jump in and play. If kids are looking for a moving ride, the Jeep Rider is for them. It will move and make them feel as if they are really in a moving vehicle. The triple storey playground is something to write home about. It offers three levels of different playground facilities giving children a wide variety of play and ride options. The triple storey slide is a huge three slide ride.

Besides the regular amenities offered at Jungle Kids, there are also some special festivity options available. If a private function or kids birthday is being planned, look no further than Jungle Kids. “We cater for all ages and offer a variety of different themed parties that children can choose from. For example, we offer a Fairy Party, a Pirate Party, and a Safari Party which are all very popular. We also offer a regular party option, or talk to us about your particular theme,” says Kylie.

A standard party package includes the jungle room for an hour and a half as well as many food options to choose from. We cater for all dietary requirements, just let us know when you book. Our themed parties (The Pirate Party, Fairy Party and the Safari Party) include the same basics as the standard option, however they also include themed table decorations, balloons and ideas for the themed costumes.

Being accountable in general is an essential quality to have. However, being accountable within the workspace is even more important. This is because those who are accountable in their workspace are more likely to perform their tasks efficiently.
